Street Level
A Formula E spot where the final stage of post-production carried much of the weight of the entire piece. Direction kept shifting, feedback kept coming in, and the delivery date left no room for error. Working with the agency, client, director, VFX, and sound team, I led sound within the final stage of post, translating client direction into executable work, keeping teams aligned, and making calls under a fixed timeline as pressure built. It wasn’t just a clean finish. The sound shaped the outcome and helped carry it to a Clio Gold.
The Challenge
Electric racing does not come with the familiar roar and weight of traditional motorsport.
The challenge wasn’t just technical. The piece needed to feel complete, intentional, and emotionally clear as the direction evolved, and the cars needed a unique and recognizable sonic identity. At the same time, the edit was still shifting across editorial, VFX, and client direction, putting pressure on the final stage of post.
Balancing that meant setting a clear direction and using it to filter incoming feedback, keeping what strengthened the piece and discarding what didn’t.

My Role

By the final stage, everything was in motion at once. Picture was still evolving, notes were coming from agency, editorial, and client, and the piece had to lock without reopening the edit.
I led the sound side of that phase, setting direction, dividing the work, and working through editorial and client feedback to keep everything aligned as the cut changed. Late in the process, pacing still wasn’t right and the notes conflicted. Sending it back would have reset the timeline, so I chose a direction, aligned the team around it, and pushed the piece through to finish.
